Barcelona star looks set to miss El Clasico

Real Madrid have their fair share of injury problems at the moment, but hopefully, most of them will be solved by the time they take to the pitch against Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the season, set to be played at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This is setting up to be a tight title race for sure. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have the same number of points at this point of time, but Xavi’s side sit at the top of the La Liga table due to having a better goal difference. They do have some major problems heading into El Clasico though.

As reported by Melodygist Sport that, Andreas Christensen has a sprained ligament in his left ankle. The defender will undergo more tests on Wednesday to find the exact extent of the injury.

Christensen arrived at Barcelona on a free transfer from Chelsea this summer, similar to Antonio Rudiger at Real Madrid. And he has managed to establish himself as a key player in Xavi’s team.
