Chelsea owner Todd Boehly in negotiations for second January deal to back Graham Potter

Chelsea are reportedly working on a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund sensation Youssoufa Moukoko to follow the agreement for Christopher Nkunku. The Blues may have to wait until the end of the current season for Nkunku to join after paying a reported £63million fee to beat other teams to his signature.

But Graham Potter will want reinforcements for now too and the January window is a good opportunity to do that. Armando Broja’s horror injury last week in Chelsea’s friendly against Aston Villa means Potter is likely to head into the market for a central striker.

The Albania international had earned good minutes under Potter in the opening stages of the season, keeping out both Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the starting line-up. The duo have struggled to make an impact in front of goal this season, Potter will be hoping for better things from both of them when the season resumes after Christmas.
